Joint Public Services (JPS)
MAC prepared the rationale and laid the foundation for encouraging multi-community approaches to delivering public services and programs in Southeast Michigan. For example, MAC helped communities across the region explore and develop shared programs for joint purchasing, data processing and record keeping, health care cost containment, and fire and emergency services. MAC worked with SEMCOG in developing a comprehensive “Joint Public Services” program that continues to assist communities in joining together to deliver efficient public services.
