Lake Erie Metropark
Come Experience the natural beauty of the freshwater marshes of Lake Erie Metropark and Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge at the 4th Annual “Paddle By Your Refuge.” Paddle around the lower Detroit River and Lake Erie as you learn about kayaking and the amazing plant and animal life of the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge.
An interpreter from the Huron-Clinton Metroparks will be on-hand to introduce you to this beautiful natural area and wildlife of the refuge.
After your paddle, you could enjoy the many amenities of the park from the Marshlands Museum to the 3-mile paved/hike-bike trail to the recreational opportunities abound! Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy the scenic view of the lake; picnic tables, restrooms, and grills will be available for your use.
