Submit Your Nature Tourism Event
Metropolitan Affairs Coalition (MAC) is creating a web-based calendar of nature tourism events in Southeast Michigan.
Nature tourism includes those outdoor recreational activities and educational programs that connect people with natural places and wildlife. It involves such activities as biking, hiking, fishing, wildlife-watching, horseback riding, camping, canoeing, and kayaking in natural areas. |
Submit an Event
To submit your nature tourism event for listing on MAC’s Discover Our Wild Side Nature Tourism Event Calendar, please complete the following form. Be sure the information you provide is complete and accurate. Nature tourism event submissions may be received from public and private organizations. Events that do not fit the definition of nature tourism or meet the criteria listed below will not be posted on the Discover Our Wild Side Nature Tourism Event Calendar. Retail sales events, sidewalk and garage sales, etc. are NOT considered nature tourism events and will NOT be included as part of MAC’s nature tourism event calendar.
Submission Criteria

The event must take place within the Southeast Michigan region (Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne Counties).

The event must have a firm date or set of dates.

The event is open to the general public, whether free or with admission charge.

The event must be of interest to both nearby residents and visitors from outside the local community.
Additional Information
MAC shall have unrestricted use over information submitted, in whole or in part, and will retain sole discretion as to whether an event qualifies for the nature tourism event calendar.Please send questions about this form, nature tourism, or MAC’s Discover Our Wild Side initiative to naturetourism@mac-web.org.
